The short answer
Professional landscape lighting in South Florida runs $225 to $495 per installed fixture, and most homes need 10 to 20 of them.
That works out to $2,950 for a focused front elevation package and $5,800 for a full property. The number covers design, brass or copper fixtures, buried low-voltage runs, the transformer, and night aiming.
This is the least seasonal thing we do and the one that changes a property most. A holiday install is six weeks a year. Landscape lighting is every single night.
What good landscape lighting is actually doing
It is not brightness. It is contrast and restraint. A well-lit property has maybe four things lit and everything else left dark, so your eye moves the way the designer intended: up the facade, along the entry, into the canopy, and out to the water.
The most common failure in Broward and Palm Beach neighborhoods is the opposite. Ten identical spotlights spaced evenly along a bed, all at the same brightness, all pointed at nothing in particular. The property gets brighter and less attractive at the same time.
Uplighting
Tight-beam fixtures at the base of columns, entry walls, and facade planes. Narrow optics on tall vertical surfaces, wider on stucco. On barrel tile homes we set the aim so the wash stops below the tile line, because lighting the tile itself flattens the whole elevation.
Palm and canopy work
Royal and coconut palms take two or three fixtures at the base, aimed to graze the trunk and catch the underside of the fronds. Never one fixture dead center. That single-source look is the tell of a cheap install, and it is why so many palm lighting jobs read as a spotlight on a pole.
Moonlighting
Downlights mounted high in oaks and mahoganies at $445 installed. Light falls through the leaves and dapples the driveway and lawn. It is the most expensive fixture on the list and the one clients mention first when they show the property to guests.
Path, step, and safety
Path lights at $225 and step lights at $265. The rule is that you should see the pool of light, not the fixture. Anything aimed at eye level makes a walkway feel less safe, not more.
Water, pool deck, and docks
Underwater fixtures at $495, plus dock and seawall lighting for waterfront properties in Lighthouse Point, Highland Beach, and along the Intracoastal. Marine-grade brass, stainless fasteners, sealed connections, and cable routed clear of cleats and tie-offs.
Packages
- Curb Appeal: 10 fixtures, $2,950. Front elevation, entry, and two specimen plants.
- Estate: 20 fixtures, $5,800. Full front and side elevations, driveway, path, and canopy work.
- Showpiece: 32 fixtures, $9,500. Whole property including rear, pool deck, and water features.
Maintenance is $49 per month, which matters more here than most places. Florida landscaping grows fast enough to swallow a fixture in a season.
How this pairs with the rest of the property
Landscape lighting and a permanent roofline system are the two halves of the same result: the house reads as designed after dark, every night, without anyone installing anything. Clients who do both in the same visit save 10 percent on the combined project.

You cannot see the track from the street in daylight. Warm white for regular nights, orange in October, red and green in December. I stopped hiring anyone for holiday lights.
Third season with them. They show up when they say, the lines are dead straight, and a bulb went out in December and someone was here the next morning. I have not owned a ladder in three years.

- Installed fixtures run $225 to $495 each depending on type, with a $2,450 project minimum. Our three packages are $2,950 for 10 fixtures, $5,800 for 20, and $9,500 for 32.
- Is the transformer included?
- Yes, up to 12 fixtures. Beyond that a second transformer is $650.
- Brass or aluminum fixtures?
- Brass and copper for anything coastal or in irrigation spray. They patina rather than corrode. Powder-coated aluminum is acceptable inland and under cover, and we will tell you which zones on your property can take it.
- Do you offer maintenance?
- Yes. $49 per month covers re-aiming after landscaping, lamp replacement, connection checks, and seasonal timer adjustments.
- Will it work with my existing wiring?
- Sometimes. We test voltage drop at every existing run before reusing it. Undersized wire is the most common reason a previous landscape system looks dim and dies early.
- How long does an install take?
- Most residential systems are installed in one to two days. We lay the design out at dusk with the customer present when possible, because aiming is a judgment call, not a spec.
