How we measure your roofline

There are three ways to get a roofline number, and they trade speed for precision. All three feed the same rate card.

Satellite measurement

We pull a current satellite tile of your address and measure the lit edges: front elevation, returns, gables, and any side runs visible from the street.

This is accurate to within a few percent on a clear image. Heavy tree cover or a recently built home is where it degrades, and that is when we fall back to one of the other two paths.

Tracing it yourself

You can draw the outline you want lit directly on the satellite image. This is the most accurate path because you are telling us exactly which edges matter to you.

Most people trace the front roofline and the two returns and leave the back of the house dark, which is usually the right call.

Home size estimate

If you would rather not measure anything, pick a home size band and we apply the typical roofline footage for that band in South Florida.

It is the least precise input, which means the range around the midpoint matters more. We confirm on site before install.

What your photos add

A photo of the front elevation tells us things satellite cannot: story count from the ground, roof material, column and peak count, palm placement, and whether there is a clean power source near the display.

Uploading two or three photos usually tightens the quote and always speeds up the site visit.
